Content Moderation

Every message on Yomeet passes through automated content moderation systems that detect harmful content in real time. Our filters scan for harassment, threats, hate speech, sexually explicit content, and promotion of self-harm.

When harmful content is detected, it is flagged for review. Our team can issue warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans depending on the severity of the violation.

PII Protection

Yomeet automatically strips personally identifiable information (PII) from messages to help protect your private data. Phone numbers, email addresses, and other sensitive information are detected and filtered before they reach the other person. This helps prevent accidental exposure of personal details when talking to strangers.

Block & Report

You are always in control. If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can:

• Block — Instantly prevents the user from contacting you. They cannot see your profile, send messages, or call you. Blocking is immediate and silent.
• Report — Flag a user for review by our team. Choose a reason: harassment, spam, inappropriate content, self-harm, or threats. Every report is reviewed and appropriate action is taken.

Anonymous by Design

Yomeet does not require you to share your real name, photo, or any personal information. You can:

• Use the app completely anonymously without creating an account
• Choose any display name and avatar
• Control exactly what information is visible on your profile
• Delete your account and all data at any time — permanently and irreversibly

Call Privacy

Yomeet supports voice and video calls, but we never record the audio or video content of your calls. Call metadata (duration, type, and status) is logged for service operation and safety purposes only. Your conversations are yours.

Data Security

We protect your data with industry-standard security practices:

• Passwords are hashed — we never store them in plain text
• Authentication tokens are encrypted and short-lived
• API endpoints are protected and rate-limited
• Data is stored on secure, managed infrastructure

Kora AI Safety

Kora, our AI companion, is designed to be empathetic and supportive — but she has clear boundaries:

• Kora is not a therapist and does not provide medical advice
• Kora can detect signs of crisis and suggest professional resources
• Kora can offer to connect you with a real human when she senses you need it (AI Handoff)
• Conversations with Kora are stored securely and processed by AI services to generate responses
